WHO IS FARIS?

I am Faris Rahman, a 24-year-old graduate with a First Class Honours degree in International Relations, achieving a CGPA of 3.77. Originally from Johor, I completed my STPM with a CGPA of 3.50 at SMK Bandar Kota Tinggi, setting the foundation for my academic and professional growth. Throughout my education, I actively engaged in leadership roles, including serving as the President of the International Law Students Association Chapter at UniSZA and as the Head of Exco Media & Journalism for the International Relations Students' Society (IRiSS). I also gained valuable experience as Chief of Academic Office at ILSA UniSZA, honing my skills in management, communication, and event coordination.In addition to my academic achievements, I am currently a member of Dewan Muda Johor, where I contribute to shaping economic policies and initiatives within the Committee on Investment, Trade, Economic Development, Consumer Affairs & Human Resources.I am currently working as a Marketing Executive at DMR Holdings, where I focus on creating effective marketing strategies, building brand awareness, and engaging with key stakeholders. This role has allowed me to strengthen my skills in marketing, client relations, and strategic communication. Additionally, I gained valuable experience as a Business Development Intern at Inter Island Group, where I focused on identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and supporting the growth of strategic partnerships. I am also the freelance founder of Awaris Solution Center, a digital services company providing tailored solutions for businesses in areas such as website design and digital marketing.With a passion for continuous growth and learning, I aim to make a positive impact in both the professional world and in the field of international relations. Persidangan Meja Bulat Mahasiswa Kebangsaan Terkait Polisi Dan Governans (PMBK-PG) - Program Director
- Spearheaded a national-level discussion program at the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly Hall, promoting dialogue on policy and governance among university students.
- Secured RM6,100 in funding through successful partnerships with external sponsors, including the Chief Minister's Office and State Assembly.- Coordinated with state government and higher education institutions, ensuring smooth collaboration and participation from multiple universities.

THE SPIRIT OF RAMADAN: A Community Iftar with FUHA – Deputy Director (Sponsorship & Funding)
- Led the fundraising efforts for a community Iftar event, raising RM4,000 and surpassing the target by 11%.
- Secured sponsorships from faculty and external foundations, ensuring the event's success and strong community participation.

Bakul Rahmah Ramadan FUHA – Director- Executed the role of Director for the "Bakul Rahmah Ramadan FUHA" fundraising initiative, successfully collecting RM1,806 in public donations, surpassing the initial target by 261%.- Directed the funds to Rumah Kebajikan Persatuan Kebajikan Anak Permata Syurga Terengganu (APS), demonstrating effective leadership in charitable activities.

Merchandise Sales Project – President of ILSA UniSZA- Launched and managed a merchandise sales project aimed at enhancing the financial sustainability of ILSA UniSZA.- Achieved RM2,636 in sales with a profit of RM784, showcasing strategic planning and marketing prowess.

Moot Court Competition Sponsorship – President of ILSA UniSZA- Led the sponsorship drive for the Moot Court Competition, successfully securing RM2,700 in sponsorships, exceeding the target by 28.6%.- Managed funding from UniSZA and corporate sponsors, fully covering participation fees and providing financial support for the team representing UniSZA at the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.

FUHA Community Heroes: Humanitarian Efforts for Rohingya & FUHA X Madrasah Hidayah Usmaniyah: Iftar of Unity with Refugee Kids – Director- Directed two impactful humanitarian projects focused on supporting the Rohingya community and fostering unity through shared meals with refugee children.- Successfully raised RM945 in donations and secured RM200 in food sponsorships, exceeding financial targets.- Oversaw the donation of Core Relief Items, significantly enhancing support for refugee families.
